Yali, is a platform that sustains commercial projects that develop from the research and documentation work of The Registry of Sarees. With the able guidance of our corporate collaborators Mysore Saree Udyog, it has been set up to take up such unique textile initiatives that have risen from the foundation of weaver and craft based studies that are relevant to the here and now, today. It is our objective to maintain  complete transparency of all stakeholders from yarn to consumer – so that we can make a radical difference both to the people who create handlooms and to the people who embrace handlooms.

Based on the curatorial and research and documentation body of work at  The Registry of Sarees, our collection of sarees, clothes and home textiles pushes the boundaries of what responsibly grown and ethically handmade materials can achieve.

Built in partnership with Mysore Saree Udyog, this alliance allows us the ability to make long term commitments to weavers, their looms and clusters thereby bridging the world of rural highly skilled craftsmanship with urban patronage.

Using textiles as a pathway to change , we seek to model what is possible at this critical juncture in our humanity - amplifying voices for environmental and economic  impact, educating and engaging our community with the stories behind our clothes, and providing more information about supply chains at large.

The Yali, is a mythical creature – part lion, part elephant and part horse. We are indeed, the sum of our individualities, our communities and our environment. Our team, our trusted stakeholders and you make all of this possible. Thank you for joining us on our journey.
