Yali
Yali Fragrances
Cotton and Silk form the base of the saree while Gold and Silver form the embellishments. Four perfumes inspired from the collections of The Registry of Sarees were created using this simple principle. Just as a saree wraps around and embraces our forms the fragrances evoke a sense of layering and can be used to suit the wearer's moods and fantasies. You may find that some combinations take you to cotton fields in full bloom while others bring home the headiness of tuberose and marigold only found at Indian weddings. Other combinations may gently summon fond memories of a childhood spent with a grandmother, wrapped in the folds of her camphor scented saree.
COTTON
The perfume is reminiscent of a fresh summer breeze gently caressing a sea of fresh cotton blooms. Light, clean, with the promise of comfort. Top notes of herbaceous green marry a spiced floral heart of rose, jasmine, lily and marine notes that rest on a musk and sandal base to create a scent of freshly washed linen.
SILK
The perfume is inspired by the particular touch and feel that silk evokes when it gently caresses your skin. Featuring top notes of apple blossom interwoven with threads of bergamot, mandarin and peach. Sensual pink pepper carries the headiness of violet leaf and rosewood that rests easily on a base of oakmoss, musk, patchouli and cedar.
GOLD
The perfume captures the sensuality, glamour and power of gold in a saree. Evocative of the metallic texture and tactility of pure zari. Top notes of warm iris and vetiver dance with delicate notes of sun drenched lotus blooms and camphor. Heady sunsets are reflected by base notes of woody patchouli and amber.
SILVER
The perfume is reflective of the use of silver zari in a saree. Jamdani buttis are imagined by the top notes of zesty mandarin, ylang-ylang and neroli . Deftly cut with silver metallic hints of cassie blooms and the quintessential Indian mehndi flower extract. Base notes rich with Sandalwood and Musk bring the smoothness to the unique metallic fragrance.
