Venkatgiri Jamdani with Black Selvedge

This fine cotton saree is made in Venkatgiri. The jamdani chevrons and brilliant palla are made with real zari. The jamdani technique, though famed in Bengal, has been an old tradition in Venkatgiri too.

These sarees have been created with Malavika Singh who remembers wearing these pure cotton, Venkatgiri sarees as a young girl.
